On Monday, Aquinas Clarke, Barbados’ ambassador to Venezuela, confirmed that his country will be present at the 2024 International Tourism Fair (FITVEN), which will take place in the state of Tachira, Venezuela, from November 28 to December 2.

The Barbadian diplomat made this statement during a meeting with the Venezuelan Tourism Minister Leticia Gomez, who reaffirmed her government’s commitment to promoting tourism as an engine of economic and social development in the Latin America and the Caribbean.
The 17th edition of FITVEN is expected to attract representatives from 42 countries, among which are Belize, Colombia, Cuba, China, Egypt, Honduras, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Poland, and Saint Lucia.
This international fair offers participating countries opportunities to do business, attract foreign investment, make their cultures visible and promote their natural resources, said the Bolivarian official, adding that Tachira is ready to host the fair in San Cristobal, the “City of Cordiality.”
With the upcoming 2024 FITVEN, Venezuela is strategically positioning itself as a compelling and attractive destination on the international tourism map.
By showcasing its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant local experiences, this South American country aims to captivate the attention of global travelers and foster sustainable economic growth through tourism.
